Description This pilot is ground from carbide material to provide the benefits of the carbide but does not have the cutting teeth ground into the end. Great for the user that is concerned about brass galling from heat build-up due to friction but doesn’t require the cutting feature for doughnut removal. Even though the coefficient of friction of brass on carbide is less than that of brass on steel, you still need to use lubricant on the pilot.
